Skin Care is Not A Luxury, It’s A Necessity
You’ve heard of toning at the gym, but what about toning your skin? If looking in the mirror is something you avoid, radiofrequency (RF) microneedling might be for you. This controlled skin injury procedure enhances skin texture and tone, helping to improve the appearance of large pores, scars, stretch marks, fine lines, wrinkles, and laxity.

What is RF Microneedling?
Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that uses fine needles and radiofrequency waves to create channels, or microdermal wounds, in the skin. By creating these wounds, the body produces elastin and collagen. Collagen and elastin are common proteins that help with elasticity and youthfulness. When elastin and collagen are stimulated, they can rejuvenate the skin, helping it grow back thicker and smoother than before and creating a younger appearance.
The procedure is performed with a topical numbing agent and lasts between 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the treated area. With results in as little as two weeks, two to four treatments are recommended for optimal results. Patients who have been treated with RF microneedling will continue to see fuller, plumper skin for up to three months after treatment.
To help reduce inflammation and redness and to help accelerate the healing process, pair your microneedling procedure with our Rohrer LED Red Light Therapy If you struggle with acne, pairing your procedure with our Blue Light Therapy will help reduce breakouts and promote clearer pores.
RF Microneedling FAQs
Recovery time is very minimal. After the procedure, the patient’s face may appear red with slight swelling. In some cases, light bleeding in small areas can be seen for the first 24 to 48 hours. Forego makeup for a few days afterward due to the pores being opened and in the healing process.
There is some mild discomfort, but numbing cream can be requested prior to the procedure.
A series of three to four treatments, scheduled about a month apart is ideal for optimal results. Depending on the severity of the skin condition, six to eight treatments might be recommended by one of our technicians.
